PhD position available at the Sawitzki-lab (COVID-19 immunopathology): 

Project aims:

  1. Why certain patients develop severe immunopathologies in case of e.g. COVID-19 breakthrough infections
  2. Whether or how the immune response differs from the immune response at initial infection.

Methods:

  • Preparation of patient samples from blood or tissue for Deep Single-Cell Profiling Studies
  • Bioinformatic Analyses and evaluation of high multiparametric flow cytometry and scRNAseq data sets
  • Design and implementation of supporting mechanistic in vitro experiments

The candidate will be supervised by an experienced scientist, receive technical support and have the chance to interact with national collaboration partners which are investigating how swarm learning methods can support the analysis of decentrally collected multi-parametric data sets.
